Encore Carbon Services can create a ‘best practice’ steering group to manage CRC across the business. Encore’s Steering Group is designed to provide a ‘best practice’ process, building accountability and a task orientated structure into the CRC management process.

Encore hold a Steering Group conference call and provide updated documentation on a monthly basis to provide a complete Audit Trail with change and version control.

This process relieves our customers of administrative overheads and safeguards compliance.

Best Practice Data Capture

Encore will keep an updated record of summary data and work with the regulators in order to make sure that all of the relevant CRC data is captured and recorded. Encore actively manage the updates of this information and liaise with the customer on a monthly basis to make sure that all data is captured, recorded and documented.

Encore will also keep an audit trail and evidence documenting the data capture process as well as any adjustments made on a monthly basis. This service is to reduce the administrative overhead of gathering and compiling the relevant CRC consumption data. It provides a focused ‘best practice’ service to safeguard compliance with a full audit history should the customer be subject to an audit.

Standard Data Validation

Encore’s Standard Data Validation process involves Encore’s specialist Bureau Team to check actual usage versus bill data. This produces a data report which is then sent to the customer highlighting any issues that potentially could be addressed, in order to claim money back from suppliers.

In addition to the money that can be claimed for incorrect bill information, Encore perceive that the value in this service is to provide an accurate and compliant CRC baseline. Encore will also keep a full audit history to be used to provide protection should the customer become subject to an audit.

Comprehensive Data Validation

Encore’s Comprehensive Data Validation process provides the same service as Standard Data Validation but in addition, Encore’s Specialist Bureau Team will raise any queries with suppliers and work them through to a resolution on behalf of the customer.

CRC Compliance and Reporting

Initial Benchmarking Report

Encore will feed data into the CRC projections module and provide an initial overview of costs associated with the CRC, as well as validating the best practice exclusions model to ascertain and validate CRC exposure.

Encore perceive that the value in this offering is to provide insight into future costs to assist the budgeting process and relieve cash flow constraints whilst also ensuring compliancy at all times.

CRC Regulatory Reporting

Encore will compile, update and manage all regulatory requirement data on a monthly basis complete with an audit trail, version control and a change management process.

As part of this report Encore will also provide information around budget versus actual consumption and credits used as well as a forecast for future credits.

Encore perceive the value in this service is to deliver insight into financial exposures providing awareness of the customers current CRC position and optimise cash flow management along CRC performance.

CRC Performance Dashboard

Encore can provide a dynamic CRC Performance Dashboard on a monthly basis in order to perform ‘what if’ analysis, better understand CRC performance to date and performance against goal,

Encore perceive that the value in this service is to provide an intuitive tool to manage and visualise ongoing performance as well as simulate future scenarios providing a more interactive and dynamic model.

CRC Project Risk Management and the Encore Customer Network

Encore will analyse energy efficiency projects in terms of relevance to CRC on a quarterly basis and balance CCA / CRC exclusion weightings versus ‘real’ cost savings.

Using the preceding data and techniques Encore will then also simulate potential league table impact and CRC drivers in order to help customers to make an informed decision.

Encore perceive the value in this offering to be in creating and evaluating a maximum return on investment for energy or CRC related projects.

CRC Project Management

Encore will identify suppliers, engage contractors, manage tender processes and administration to support implementations.

Encore will also keep a full audit history to be used to provide protection should the customer become subject to an audit.

Encore perceive that the value in this product is to reduce administrative overheads and use a best practice approach to project management as well as demonstrating a best practice approach via the audit trail..

Carbon Price Risk Management

Encore will provide risk managed measurement and control processes as well as establish routes to market to manage the carbon position risk.
Encore perceive that the value in this service is to reduce exposure to risk and save money using Encore’s successful and proven approach to price risk management.

CRC Carbon Trust Management & Customer Network

Encore will act as an interface between The Carbon Trust and other bodies in order to co-ordinate accreditations and certifications.

Encore have also developed a mechanism to provide a customer network to develop ideas in an effective and collaborative manner.

Encore perceive that the value in this service will be to use the existing network of CRC customer participants to develop ideas and share experiences as well as utilising Encore connections to the Carbon Trust and the CRC Administrator.
