Swaps prices for the prompt month on the European over-the-counter market climbed today on fresh buying. On API 2, April, the front month rose by $1.60/t to end the session at $72.40/t having traded twice at $72.25/t, including one deal for 15,000t/month. Along the curve, gains continued with the second-quarter 2010 contract ending the day at $73.50/t, up by $1.70/t. The third-quarter contract was more actively traded but the gains were marginally less, at $1.20/t to close at $76.60/t.
